DKP Consulting Ltd is a niche consultancy for the Infrastructure and Tertiary sectors. Director Doug Pouwhare, has over 20 years working knowledge of the tertiary sector having held executive roles with both a Private Training Establishment (PTE) and an Industry Training Organisation (ITO).
INFRASTRUCTURE
Specialising in training support solutions, Work Type Competency (WTC) compliance and implementation.
Ten years of Doug’s time with an ITO was within the Infrastructure sector and he has a long history of working with organisations to align training and recruitment with regulatory requirements. DKP Consulting has an excellent working knowledge of the competency and training regime for the energy sector and led the development of the industry recognised trade certification process for the civil works sector.
DKP Consulting has led two successful External Evaluation Reviews (EER) for an ITO both with the highest level outcomes. They have extensive experience in quality assurance practices and have led the development of numerous qualifications.
During his time in the tertiary sector Doug has sat on a number of advisory groups for both the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). In addition he has demonstrated a commitment to research and development within the industry training sector as well as workplace literacy and numeracy.
